11+ Heroes – Cookie Policy
Last updated: 8th August 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how 11+ Heroes (the "Service"), operated by RYTICK LIMITED ("we", "us", or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies.
This Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.
They help websites function properly, improve user experience, and provide information about how the site is used.
Cookies may be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored for longer).
3. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- To enable core functionality of the Service
- To understand how the Service is used and improve it
- To analyse usage patterns and performance
We use cookies for analytics if and only if you are logged in.
4. Cookies for Logged-In Users
When you are logged in to the Service (including Parent or Student accounts), we use cookies that support the operation and improvement of the Service.
4.1 Essential Cookies
Certain cookies are strictly necessary to provide the Service, so the following types of cookie may be present:
- Authentication and session management cookies
- Security and fraud-prevention cookies
- Cookies required to remember preferences and settings
These cookies are always used when you are logged in, as the Service cannot function properly without them.
4.2 Analytics and Usage Cookies
We use first-party analytics and usage cookies, including cookies set by PostHog, to understand how the Service is used and to improve functionality, performance, and learning outcomes.
These cookies:
- Are always used for logged-in users
- Help us analyse interactions with content, features, and tools within the Service
- Are used only for first-party analytics purposes
- Are not used for third-party advertising
- Are not used to track users across other websites or services
5. Cookies for Non-Logged-In Users
When you are not logged in, we do not set any analytics cookies.
We still use PostHog to understand how visitors use the public areas of the Service, but we run it in a cookieless mode.
This means that, while you are logged out:
- No analytics cookies are placed on your device
- Nothing is stored on your device that could be used to recognise you across multiple days
- You are not identified personally, and no profile is built about you
- There is no optional analytics category, and so nothing for you to accept or decline
Because we set no optional cookies while you are logged out, we do not show a cookie consent banner.
6. Children and Cookies
The Service is designed for use by children under parental supervision.
- We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or behavioural advertising directed at Students
- Analytics relating to Student use of the Service is limited to first-party analytics and is used to support learning outcomes and improve the Service
- Parents acknowledge that use of the logged-in Service requires the use of cookies as described in this Policy
7. Managing Cookies and Choices
For logged-out visitors, there is nothing to manage: we set no optional analytics cookies, so no consent tool or banner is shown.
For logged-in users, the use of cookies, including analytics cookies, is a condition of accessing and using the logged-in areas of the Service. If you do not wish to accept these cookies, you should not log in or use the logged-in Service.
You may also manage cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may prevent the Service from functioning correctly or at all.
8. Analytics and Service Providers
We use first-party analytics to understand how the Service is used and to improve functionality, performance, and learning outcomes.
These analytics are provided using trusted third-party service providers, such as PostHog, which act as data processors on our behalf.
Analytics data:
- Is collected solely for our internal purposes
- Is not used for third-party advertising
- Is not used to track users across other websites or services
9. Children, Analytics, and Marketing to Parents
The Service is designed for use by Students under parental supervision.
In relation to Student use of the Service:
- Cookies and analytics are used to support core functionality, security, learning progress tracking, and service improvement
- Analytics and usage data relating to Students may also be used to generate insights and recommendations for Parents
- These insights may inform communications to Parents about features, subscriptions, or educational products and resources offered by us that may help support a Student's learning needs
Any marketing, recommendations, or promotional communications informed by Student data are directed solely to Parents and are not shown to Students.
We do not use Student data for third-party advertising, behavioural advertising networks, or marketing directed at Students.
10. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or legal requirements.
The most recent version will always be available on our website.
